Uttarakhand Trekking- How to Plan
Thank You for everyone for your likes and comments on my blog- My First Trek Experience, Today, I'll share how you can plan this trek.
Generally people can plan on their own and I feel, there's no need of hiring guides or any trek planner companies but If you don't want to hire someone, you need to explore as much as you can. You may read blogs, watch vlogs, the atmosphere updates, accommodation options and places to visit and time management too. If you feel that you just want to relax and let other people plan and manage the things for you, which we did! ;) You can choose Trek The Himalayas, Indiahikes, or this blog will help you to choose dates, company and places accordingly.
Trek we chose: Valley of Flowers & Hemkund Sahib
Altitude:14000+ ft
Days- Approx. 8 Days including travel from Ahmedabad to Ahmedabad
Best Months to visit: June to September
Approx. Budget- 22k to 25k per person
Mode of Transport- Flights and trains are available till Dehradun. To reach Rishikesh pre-paid taxi can be hired.
Generally, all travel companies are offering pick up and drop from Rishikesh. If you are not running out of time and don’t have budget issue, you may opt for these packages as travelling will be through train only..
All I have learnt form my first experience is Time Management and Preparations. If you start early, you will able to take rest at several points, your descending time and of course, You won't miss the selfies or group pictures in different poses at photogenic points.
